Letter from The new ALAP President.
Abstract
Dear Latin American perfusionists:
It is with the utmost honor, enthusiasm, and sense of responsibility that I accept the mission entrusted to me today to lead our beloved and respected Latin American Perfusion Association (ALAP).
Today, I would like to pay tribute and express my eternal gratitude to the outgoing board of directors, led by our dear Alileny Pérez Alemán, who over the past 10 years have succeeded in creating, strengthening, and consolidating ALAP, and established its global standing as a mature scientific society that brings together Latin American perfusionists, and whose purpose is to recognize, encourage, and elevate the role and significant contribution that each of us makes, day after day, in every field where our expertise is needed.
I am grateful for and deeply appreciate all the messages of support and expressions of affection from so many friends and fellow perfusionists throughout Latin America. They motivate me to do my very best to continue on the path we have charted, and I am confident that together we will maintain our scientific quality and further strengthen our Association. Let us remain united in supporting this project of ours.
